The Seven Virtues

PRIDE is excessive belief in one's own abilities, that interferes with
the individual's recognition of the grace of God. It has been called the sin from which all others arise. Pride is also known as Vanity. ENVY is the desire for others' traits, status, abilities, or situation. GLUTTONY is an inordinate desire to consume more than that which one requires. LUST is an inordinate craving for the pleasures of the body. ANGER is manifested in the individual who spurns love and opts instead for fury. It is also known as Wrath. GREED is the desire for material wealth or gain, ignoring the realm of the spiritual. It is also called Avarice or Covetousness. SLOTH is the avoidance of physical or spiritual work.

MatchMaking

i can forgive
not because it feels good
not because it is written
in the commandments
but because not everything
can be learned
from others mistakes
and in time i am going to
make some of my own
and i would want you
to forgive me

i can love
because i assume
i am loving a human being
a fragile container
in search of
something warm to hold
and not some
piece of perfection
i saw on the
late night tv show

A Sense of Pride

it hurts my pride. i can't deny. to accept. that i am nothing. without you.
without you. my life has a wandering purpose. no meaning.

what pride. what purpose. you were the one who gave it to me. first.
its quite difficult. to lay it down. this sense of i.

i am someone. worthy of something. i have a plan for i.
i know whats good for i. i know what i stands for.

i knows. i is needed. i is loved. i resolves emptiness.
how does it know. needed by who. loved for what.
filling up whose space.

We must be willing to let go of the life we have planned,
so as to have the life that is waiting for us.

Shared Shared

If we are together.
This moment is precious to me.
It may not be for you,
but if it is,
then this is a shared moment.
And it is doubly precious to me.
It may not be for you,
but if it is,
then this is a shared moment,
shared.
And it is terribly precious to me.
And it means that we can be
together for some more.

The knowledge of two leaves

all knowledge is a form of generalisation. an escape from reality.
where even two leaves, from the same branch, aren't the same.

to know is to disregard, so that we don't have to bother about it again.
known, filed, categorised, documented and locked aside. pseudo security.
a cushion of comfort, against a chaotic, mutating, furious universe.

real reality may be too simple, for our complicated world-view.
not even worth the effort of knowing. allowing no scope for human drama.

knowledge is the end to all quests. to arrive at and rest.
judgment proclaimed and consensus dispatched.
so that it may be declared, to all the generations of mankind to come.
we have been there, we already know it.
so, you don't have to.
